Barons Drop Both at Space Coast Tournament

Ryan Feaster | Brewton-Parker Christian University | Mar 9, 2025

The Barons traveled to participate in the Space Coast Tournament in Melbourne, FL, on March 8, 2025. In game one, the Barons faced off against Indiana Tech, and in game two, against Aquinas College. The Barons dropped both games, resulting in a setback to their overall record of 9-10-1 for the season. The Barons lost game one 8-2 and game two 9-4. The Barons have the week to prepare for their next opponent at home. In game one, the Barons struggled in the circle and were unable to keep up with the Warriors' offense, falling behind early in the game. The Barons were unable to overcome the deficit and lost game one. Game two saw the Barons fall behind early once again but manage to bounce back in the fourth inning to cut the deficit to one run. Unfortunately, the Barons were unable to prevent the Saints from scoring, giving up three runs at the top of the fifth and another in the sixth. The deficit proved to be too much for the Barons to overcome, and they lost game two. Brewton-Parker aims to rebound in their next series scheduled against Middle Georgia in Mount Vernon on March 15, 2025. With the lessons learned from these tough contests, the Barons look to improve their standing as they advance through the season.
