In a gripping non-conference college baseball clash on March 18, 2025, the Brewton-Parker Barons faced the Reinhardt Eagles in Waleska, GA. Despite a valiant effort and a high-scoring game, the Barons fell short with a final tally of 17-12 in favor of the Eagles. The Barons showcased their offensive skills early in the game. In the 3rd inning, they amassed six runs, taking a temporary lead. Jordan Rahn scored three runs, including a notable home run in the 4th inning, and Jeremi Lara, with two home runs, were standouts. Carson Kirby also contributed significantly with a home run and two runs batted in (RBIs). Zack Carlton kicked in 3 RBIs, alongside valuable contributions from Kendell Wade and others. Starting pitcher Dylan Speakman battled from the mound in a challenging outing. The Barons could not hold the Eagles offense, which woke up in the fifth inning and scored in each subsequent inning. Despite their solid performance, the Barons could not hold back the Eagles, who soared back in the succeeding innings to clinch the win. The Barons, holding a current record of 9-16, are eyeing recovery in their upcoming series against Faulkner, which kicks off on March 21, 2025, in Mount Vernon, GA. Fans remain hopeful for a turnaround in what promises to be an exciting match ahead.
