Barons Fall to Wolf Pack In Straight Sets
On November 7, 2025, the Brewton-Parker Christian University women's volleyball team lost a tough conference game at Gillis Gymnasium, Mt. Vernon, GA, against the Loyola University New Orleans Wolf Pack. The game ended in straight sets for the Wolf Pack. The game opened with the Wolf Pack taking a strong lead, ending the first set at 25-19. Despite the Barons' efforts, the pace didn't turn in their favor in the second set, which they lost 25-14. The third set saw some resilience from the Barons, with notable plays and a closer score, but eventually, it went to the Wolf Pack as well, ending in a 25-21 victory. Key players for the Barons included Adriana De Jesus, who led with seven kills, and Ryann Prince, who not only secured six kills but also added a significant defensive strength with six blocks. Taylor Lamontagne was versatile throughout the match, contributing with 11 digs, 18 assists, and topping the aces for her team with three. Other notable contributions came from Alana Garcia with a total of six digs and an ace, alongside Raphaela Felisberto, who managed two aces. Despite these contributions, the Barons struggled with errors and were unable to maintain their early leads against the Wolf Pack's consistent play. Looking ahead, the Barons are set to face William Carey University (Miss.) on November 8, 2025, at the Gillis Gymnasium.
