Barons Narrowly Defeated by Florida National Conquistadors in Close Contested Game
In a closely contested regular season non-conference basketball game, the Brewton-Parker Barons were narrowly defeated by the Florida National Conquistadors with a final score of 77-74. The game took place on November 27, 2024, at the SLC in West Palm Beach, Fla. Brewton-Parker found themselves trailing at halftime with a score of 38-45 but managed to close the gap by the final buzzer. Despite a late surge, a decisive three-pointer by Florida Nationals' Jeremy Arnum with just 22 seconds remaining sealed the victory for the Conquistadors. Dre Burroughs led the scoring for the Barons with 16 points, followed by Ferlin Joseph Jr. with 14 points and Jaden Rogers contributing 12 points along with valuable rebounds and steals. The Barons were supported by their team from strong performances including Bobby Blackwell III and Zsolt Burrows, who both contributed significantly on the boards.
