Brewton-Parker Barons Face Tough Loss Against Campbellsville (Ky.) Tigers
In a challenging non-conference clash at Powell Gym, the Brewton-Parker College Barons were defeated by the Campbellsville (KY) Tigers with a final score of 65-99 on November 8, 2024. Despite their spirited effort, the Barons couldn't overcome the Tigers' lead, which was solidly established by halftime with a score of 43-30 in favor of Campbellsville. The Barons saw commendable performances from several players. Dre Burroughs led the scoring with 13 points, complemented by 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Grant Sanders also made notable contributions with 12 points, alongside an impressive tally of 6 rebounds, 4 blocks, and 2 steals. B Blackwell III added 11 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Other contributors included Sam Faraday-Bensley with 8 points and 4 rebounds, and Tommy J Tisdale III who put up 5 points and secured 3 rebounds, adding a block. Despite the loss which adjusts their season record to 2-1, the Barons are set to face Lindsey Wilson College next in the same venue, Powell Gym, on November 9, 2024. The team remains optimistic as they aim to bounce back quickly from this setback and improve their standing.
