Oilers Score Sweep, Top-10 Fortnite Finish in IHSEA Action

East Alton-Wood River showcased its versatility across four games during IHSEA competition Thursday at the Oilers Esports Arena in Wood River.
- Titus Dougher delivered a dominant Rivals of Aether performance, sweeping Oak Forest 3-0.
- Riley Walls rebounded from a 3-0 Street Fighter 6 loss to McHenry by sweeping Unit 5, 3-0.
- Damion Meek earned one game for the Oilers in a 3-1 Guilty Gear loss to Unit 5.
- Brady Barker and Gabe Greer provided a tournament highlight with a top-10 Fortnite finish and 38 points.
- Izzy Jones duran and Owen Harms also represented EAWR in Fortnite, placing in the top 30 with four points.
- The Oilers competed across Guilty Gear, Rivals of Aether, Street Fighter 6 and Fortnite during the event.
- EAWR continues IHSEA action tonight with Valorant and Splatoon 3 matches in the school’s Esports Arena.
