Dogies Turn Community Spirit Into $5,000 T-Mobile Victory

Allen Von Eye | Newcastle High School | Sep 15, 2026

Newcastle High School football has a new milestone to celebrate. Last week, our Dogies won the T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Nights $5K Fridays contest, securing $5,000 for the program and turning school spirit into a victory that will benefit our players. It is the kind of moment that belongs among the program’s proud memories, built not from one snap or one final score, but from a community rallying behind its team.

The $5,000 award provides a welcome boost as we continue creating awesome opportunities for Dogies football players. Every contribution can help strengthen the experiences surrounding the program, and this prize reflects the support Newcastle brings to its team. It also adds another chapter to an identity rooted in shared pride, with players, families, classmates and supporters all contributing to the momentum.

This win is only the beginning. Newcastle remains in the running for additional prizes of $25,000 or even $1 million through T-Mobile’s Friday Night 5G Lights campaign. The national campaign offers more than $8.4 million in total prizes, including 1,000 $5K Fridays awards and a $1 million home-field upgrade for one grand-prize winner. Earning one of those $5,000 awards has already placed the Dogies in special company.

Coach Matt Conzelman
Newcastle High School Football is grateful to T-Mobile for its generous $5,000 award. This gift will directly benefit our student-athletes through new equipment, training resources, and meaningful opportunities on and off the field. A $25,000 prize would be truly impactful to Newcastle High School Athletic Program — strengthening our equipment, player development, safety initiatives, and facilities. Thank you, T-Mobile, for investing in our players and our community.

Now is the time to keep that energy growing, especially with homecoming next week. When posting about NHS, Dogies football and homecoming, show Newcastle pride loud and clear by using the hashtags #fn5gl and #entry and tagging @TMobile. Each post is another chance to share what makes this program and community special while supporting the push toward an even bigger prize.

The Dogies will carry that community support into their upcoming schedule, including an away game against Tongue River on Friday, Sep. 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Before the next kickoff arrives, Newcastle can celebrate a memorable win already secured: $5,000 for our football program, stronger opportunities for our players and a community united behind the Dogies.

Coach Beau Gregory
“On behalf of Newcastle High School Football, we want to extend our sincere gratitude to T-Mobile for their generous $5,000 award. This contribution will make an immediate impact on our student-athletes by helping provide equipment, training resources, and opportunities that enhance their experience both on and off the field. We are incredibly thankful for T-Mobile's support and investment in our program and community. Receiving the prize of $25,000 would be truly transformational for our football program. Those funds would allow us to make significant improvements to equipment, player development, safety initiatives, and facility needs, ensuring our athletes have the resources they need to compete and succeed. More importantly, it would help us continue building character, teamwork, and leadership skills that benefit our students long after their playing days are over. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity and for T-Mobile's commitment to supporting high school athletics.”
