Reinhardt Eagles Soccer Claims Victory Over CIU Rams in AAC Conference Quarter-Finals

In a thrilling turnaround at the AAC Conference Quarter-Finals, the Reinhardt University Eagles overcame a halftime deficit to defeat the CIU Rams 2-1 on November 2, 2024, at Waleska, GA. Marta Vicente-Arche starred in the victory, scoring both goals for the Eagles, including the decisive game-winner.

The match started with the CIU Rams taking an early lead, putting the Eagles at a 1-0 disadvantage at halftime. However, the Eagles, led by Vicente-Arche's impressive performance, rallied in the second period. Vicente-Arche's game-winning goal at 72:04, assisted by Sarah Bruce and Callie Rowe, sealed the victory and showcased the team's resilience and skill under pressure.

Reinhardt's defense played a crucial role, with goalkeepers Reagan Horton and Hailey Resetar contributing to the team's success. The Eagles now advance with a bolstered record of 10-5-1 overall and 9-3-1 in conference play. They will face Tennessee Wesleyan in Athens, TN, on November 5, 2024, as they continue their quest in the AAC tournament.
