Valley Forge turned in a strong showing at the CWC Conference championships, with the Patriots’ girls team finishing fifth overall and the boys team placing eighth. The meet featured several senior standouts, but it also underscored the promise of a young Valley Forge roster that produced a number of strong efforts and season-best performances.

Nevaeh Hall delivered one of the top all-around days for the Patriots, winning three girls events. Hall was the conference champion in the long jump, 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash, giving Valley Forge a major boost across both the jumps and sprint events. Delaney Kercher also claimed a conference title for the Patriots, winning the girls high jump. Kercher added more points with a sixth-place finish in the long jump and another sixth-place finish in the 400-meter dash, showing versatility in multiple disciplines.

Valley Forge also found success in the relays. The girls 4x200-meter relay team of Addison Struck, Sanaa Mooney and Jocelyn Marflak captured a conference championship for the Patriots. On the boys side, the 4x400-meter relay team of Belvin Zerby, Nico Gonzalez, Yair Ruiz and Matt Novak placed third, giving Valley Forge a podium finish in one of the meet’s closing events.

Several other Patriots added important scoring performances. Jay Jones placed third in the 100-meter hurdles, while Novak took third in the 300-meter hurdles to give Valley Forge another top-three finish on the track. In the field events, Jaylan Bizzell finished fifth in the high jump. Mykel Robinson contributed with an eighth-place finish in the long jump and another eighth-place result in the high jump.

Marflak added an individual point-scoring effort with a seventh-place finish in the 200-meter dash, helping round out a productive day for the girls team. Across the lineup, Valley Forge’s results reflected both proven senior leadership and the steady development of younger athletes competing in a championship setting.

For the Patriots, the conference meet served as both a reward for this season’s work and a glimpse at what could be ahead. Valley Forge left the championships with multiple event titles, relay success and a collection of place-winning performances that gave the program plenty to build on for the future.
