Valley Forge Girls Soccer 2026 Season Preview

Chris Medaglia | Valley Forge High School | Aug 17, 2026

Valley Forge High School girls soccer enters the new season with an experienced core, a promising incoming class and a daily commitment to improvement. The Patriots return 11 letter winners from last year, giving Coaches Ehlert and Medalis a strong foundation as the program prepares to navigate a demanding schedule.

Seven returning starters headline the veteran group: Sabrina Attab, Avianna Daniels, Isabella Dempsey, Sara Jonas, Violet Kazimore, Sanaa Mooney and Grace Pavka. Their familiarity with the program should help establish stability while the incoming players adjust to the varsity level. Anna Flanik Ella Pena Nicole Zaptocky is another player to watch as Valley Forge develops its lineup and evaluates how the returning talent fits with the newcomers.

The Patriots have challenged themselves each day in practice with the goal of forging ahead toward a successful and exciting season. Coaches Ehlert and Medalis have been particularly impressed by the team’s growth in defensive speed of play, technical skill and tactical knowledge. The players’ selfless commitment to being excellent teammates has also emerged as an important part of the group’s identity.

Early matches against Brooklyn and Eastlake North will provide important tests before Valley Forge moves deeper into a highly competitive CWC schedule that includes state powers Valley Forge. Those early games will give the Patriots opportunities to apply their defensive growth and technical development against live competition while continuing to build cohesion between the returning letter winners and incoming class.

The most anticipated date arrives Oct. 13, when Valley Forge faces crosstown rival Normandy. That matchup stands out on a schedule the Patriots expect will test them throughout the season. With an experienced group of starters, encouraging newcomers and a faster, more tactically aware approach, Valley Forge is prepared to take on that challenge and continue its progress one match at a time.
