Valley Forge Wrestlers Shine at the 60th Annual Kenston Invitational
This past Monday and Tuesday the Valley Forge Boy's Wrestling team competed at the 60th Kenston Invitational. While it’s frustrating to still have only 6 of our 14 weight classes filled at this point in the season, those six point scorers battled hard and put together enough points to earn a 13th-place finish out of 34 teams. We are extremely proud of these wrestlers! Congratulations to Nate Hale and Maksym Petrechko, who both finished as runner-ups. Both boys wrestled great tournaments and came up just short of winning the title. Amir Abukhalil also wrestled tough, finishing in 4th place. Everyone contributed points for the team even though they did not place. Xander Mooney went 2–2, while Gabe Wright and Adin Beckley each went 1–2, gaining valuable match experience. Overall, December wrestling has tested us and prepared us well as we head into the January conference dual meet season. We’ll continue to build, fill the lineup, and focus on getting better each week.
