Warner Royals Soccer Falls Narrowly to Florida National Conquistadors

WARNER SID | Warner University | Apr 1, 2025

In a tightly contested regular season soccer showdown, the Warner Royals fell just short, succumbing to Florida National's Conquistadors with a 1-0 loss on October 2, 2024, in Hialeah, Fla. The decisive moment came late in the second half when Florida National's Ricardo Delwing found the net, breaking the deadlock that persisted well after the halftime break.

Both teams struggled to score in the first half, entering the intermission locked at 0-0. The Royals defended staunchly against a series of attacks but were unable to find the back of the net themselves. The game's lone goal came at the 81:37 mark, with Delwing converting on an assist from Christian Omar Hernandez. Despite strong efforts from Warner's goalie Wesley Lacy, the Royals could not rally after conceding the late goal.

Looking ahead, the Royals aim to bounce back in their next game against the Ave Maria Gyrenes on October 5, 2024, at the Royals Soccer Field in Lake Wales, FL. The team is focused on sharpening their offense to secure a victory in front of the home supporters.
