Warner University Lacrosse Team Faces Tough Challenge Against Southern Connecticut State Owls

WARNER SID | Warner University | Apr 9, 2025

On March 19, 2025, the Warner University Royals lacrosse team endured a challenging regular-season game, falling 24-0 to the Southern Connecticut State University Owls at home in Lake Wales, Fla. This game pushed the Royals' season record to 4-7, standing at 1-1 in conference play.

Despite the tough outcome, the Royals saw commendable efforts from their goalkeepers, Krisandra Ford and Noralee Sprague, who faced relentless pressure throughout the game. The Owls, on the other hand, had a standout performance with contributions from multiple players. Allie Palmer led the scoring with four goals, significantly impacting the game's dynamics along with Taryn Ugrin, who added three goals and an assist.

Macy Vail was also pivotal for the Owls, scoring the game-winning goal alongside her three assists. The comprehensive victory for Southern Connecticut featured a vast array of goal scorers, with every player contributing to their dominant performance. Unfortunately, the day did not favor Warner's Royals, who struggled to turn their defensive plays into offensive opportunities.

As the Royals look forward to their next game, the team will focus on refining their strategies and bolstering their defense in hopes of a stronger performance and a better outcome in the subsequent fixtures of the season.
