Warner University Royals Soar to Victory Over Clinton College Golden Bears in Season Opener

In an electrifying start to the college basketball regular season, the Warner University Royals clinched a resounding victory against the Clinton College Golden Bears on October 25, 2024, at Rock Hill, SC. The Royals, led by standout performances from Jack Voth and Logan West, overcame a halftime deficit to triumph with a final score of 106-83.

Despite trailing by one point at halftime with a score of 47-48, the Royals executed a remarkable turnaround in the second half. Jack Voth's impressive tally of 19 points and 12 rebounds, alongside Logan West’s 15 points and game-high 5 steals, were instrumental in Warner’s comeback. Additional support came from Blaize Darling, who not only scored 14 points but also led assists and steals with 4 and 3 respectively, enhancing the team’s dynamics.

The Royals’ victory was highlighted by a series of notable plays including a significant three-pointer by Jamal Norris and a powerful dunk by Logan West, which were pivotal in extending their lead. The team’s defense was also on full display, with multiple blocks and steals that kept the Golden Bears at bay, especially in the later stages of the game. Warner’s bench strength shone in the final quarter, helping to seal the win.

Looking forward, the Royals will take on Columbia International next on November 1, 2024, at Spartanburg, SC. With a current record of 1-0, the Royals are off to a promising start and will aim to maintain their winning momentum. The team has shown great resilience and teamwork, factors they will continue to build upon as they progress through the season.
