Warner University Royals Strive Hard in SUN Conference Face-off Against St. Thomas Bobcats

In a thrilling SUN Conference lacrosse event, Warner University Royals faced a tough opponent in the St. Thomas Bobcats this past Thursday in Miami Gardens, Fla. Despite a hard-fought contest, the Royals fell short with a final score of 9 to 12 against the Bobcats. The game was held on March 13, 2025, where the Royals showcased their commitment and skill on the field.

The Royals entered the halftime with a score of 3-9, trailing behind the Bobcats. By the final whistle, players such as Bailey Dykes and Anaya Lister each added two goals to the Royals’ tally, echoing their personal prowess and teamwork. Sierra Lynn and Bailey Lightsey also contributed significantly with two goals each, while Abigail Petrillo rounded out the scoring with one goal. In addition, Dykes lent further support with an assist. The combined efforts highlighted the offensive strategies Warner has been focusing on.

The goalie duties were split between Krisandra Ford, who played the first 24:01 minutes, allowing 7 goals and securing 3 saves, and Noralee Sprague, who took over the rest of the game, allowing 5 goals and also making 3 saves. Despite their best efforts, Paige Peters of St. Thomas was a formidable opponent, leading the scoring for the Bobcats with 4 goals and 4 assists.

While the Royals did not emerge victorious, the game exhibited critical moments, particularly Dykes' significant contribution to Warner University’s performance. The Royals look forward to their next encounter, which is scheduled for March 19, 2025, against the Southern Connecticut State Owls in Lake Wales. Warner University, holding a season record of 4-6 and a conference standing of 1-1, is eager to return to their home field and vie for a win.
