Warner University Royals Women's Soccer Faces Setback in SUN Conference Opener
In a spirited display of college soccer, the Warner University Royals women's team opened their SUN Conference campaign with a challenging game against Ave Maria Gyrenes. The event took place at Royals Soccer Field on September 18, 2024, but despite a strong start, the Royals fell to the Gyrenes with a final score of 1-3.
Warner University got off to a promising start with Jillian Johnson putting the Royals ahead in the 5th minute, marking the season's first goal. Catherine Dalton of Ave Maria provided an assist, contributing to her team's eventual victory. The goalkeeper for Warner was Martina Duque, while Ave Maria was guarded by Emma Schweitzer.
