In a thrilling doubleheader at Lake Wales, Fla., the Warner University Royals softball team managed a split against the visiting Abraham Baldwin Stallions on February 8, 2025. The Royals, sporting their college uniforms, faced a challenging opponent but showed resilience and strategic play throughout the games.
The day opened with a tough 0-8 loss for Warner in the first game of the regular season series. Despite a well-pitched game by A. Garbarek, Abraham Baldwin's robust lineup managed to secure the win. Key players for Abraham Baldwin included K. Fowler, R. Rowell, A. Archibald, and E. Humphrey who all scored runs, with Rowell also hitting a crucial 3-RBI homerun in the second inning.
However, the Royals bounced back in the second game, claiming a decisive 7-1 victory. Key contributions came from S. Berube, T. Mooring, D. Martin, and A. Dominguez, who each crossed home plate. Special recognition was given to A. Dominguez who marvelously hit a triple in the third inning, adding an exciting play to her team's rally. Warner's lineup saw RBIs from K. Garman, G.
