Warner University Softball Team Dominates Doubleheader Against Calumet College

The Warner University Royals softball team showcased their skills in a commanding doubleheader victory over Calumet College's Crimson Wave on Thursday, February 28, 2025, at Daly Field in Lake Wales, FL. The Royals won the first game 13-5 and followed with a 9-1 victory in the second game, improving their season record to an even 3-3.

Offensively, the Royals were unstoppable with notable performances from numerous players. D. Martin, A. Calcagno, and S. Berube, among others, crossed home plate multiple times contributing to the impressive final scores. J. Hudson was a standout with 6 RBIs while G. Derstine not only delivered multiple doubles but also batted in 4 runs. Additional RBI contributors included R. Camp, S. Berube, E. Cabral, and A. Calcagno, all of whom ensured the scoreboard kept ticking in favor of Warner University.

Pitching duties were expertly handled by K. Garman in the first game and A. Garbarek in the second, both controlling the game's pace and keeping the Crimson Wave hitters at bay. The solid pitching performance combined with the offensive fireworks provided a clear path to victory for the Royals.

Looking ahead, the Royals will face the Grandview Vikings on Friday, March 1, 2025, also at Daly Field. As they prepare for their next challenge, Warner University hopes to continue their winning ways and improve their standing in this regular season campaign.
