Warner University Women's Lacrosse Triumphs in Season Opener Against Lees McRae

The Warner University Royals kicked off their college lacrosse season with a decisive 15-5 victory against the Lees McRae Bobcats on February 14, 2025, at Tate Field in Banner Elk, N.C. The Royals, driven by a dynamic team performance, showcased their strength in this challenging Season Opener.

From the start, Warner University displayed a dominant play style, with Bailey Dykes scoring the first goal and setting the tone for the game. By half-time, the Royals had built a significant lead with a score of 9-3. This early momentum was maintained throughout, culminating in an overwhelming 15-5 win over the Bobcats. Key player contributions included Bailey Dykes, Anaya Lister, and Abigail Petrillo, each scoring three goals. Anaya Lister also proved pivotal with two assists, including setting up a goal that cemented the team's lead.

Warner University's tactical decision to use two goalies, Noralee Sprague in the first half and Krisandra Ford in the second, proved effective, with both players contributing to the team's robust defense which kept the Bobcats at bay.
