RICHMOND, Ky. - Wayne State finished second among eight teams behind an even-par round from medalist Aidan Treharne at the Findlay Spring Invite on March 24, 2001. The Warriors placed three golfers below 80 while competing on the challenging par-72 layout at Boone's Trace National Golf Club.
Aidan Treharne set the pace with a 72, matching par and securing the top individual finish. Fast greens placed a premium on approach shots and putting throughout the round, but Aidan Treharne managed the conditions well enough to finish at the top of the leaderboard.
Two additional Wayne State golfers broke 80, giving the Warriors three counting performances below that threshold. Their consistency helped Wayne State remain near the front of the team standings and finish second in the eight-team match classification.
