Williamsburg Lady Wildcats Clinch Victory Over CHCA Eagles in Softball Showdown
In a decisive non-conference softball game on April 26, 2025, the Williamsburg High School Lady Wildcats displayed a commanding performance, defeating the CHCA Eagles 7-1 at home. Under chilly and cloudy conditions, the Lady Wildcats improved their record to an impressive 14-2 this season.
Gracie Graves, a freshman pitcher for Williamsburg, dominated from the mound by pitching a complete game, striking out 10, walking only two, and giving up a mere two hits throughout seven innings. Her outstanding performance was pivotal for her team's success. Furthermore, KK Pollitt was a key player, contributing significantly with a two-run homer that cemented the lead for the Lady Wildcats, a moment that effectively sealed the win.
Pollitt not only showed her power at the plate with a homer but also drove in three runs, leading the team in RBIs. Additional contributions came from K. Evans and K. Anderkin, each scoring two runs, and singles from G. Graves, M. Moore, and KK Pollitt. The offensive effort was backed by RBIs from D. Donohoo, A. Vearil, and K. Aanderkin, ensuring a robust batting display.
Looking ahead, the Lady Wildcats are set to face the Bethel-Tate Lady Tigers on April 28 at Bethel-Tate High School. This upcoming game promises to be an exciting challenge as the Lady Wildcats aim to maintain their winning momentum.
