Williamsburg Wildcats Notch Another Win in Conference Softball Game

The Williamsburg High School Wildcats varsity girls softball team maintained their unbeaten record, overpowering the East Clinton Astros with a solid 9-2 win on April 15 at East Clinton. Williamsburg's lineup showed formidable skill as several players contributed to the team's scoring. M. Shoemake led the team, rallying to score three runs. Other contributors included D. Donohoo, K. Anderkin, K. Pollitt, K. Evans, J. Johnson, and G. Graves, each adding a run to the team's tally. Notably, J. Johnson also went 2-4, driving in two crucial runs, which ultimately bolstered their lead. In the pitcher's circle, A. Vearil held down the fort, contributing to the team's robust defense against the Astros. The Wildcats' teamwork and strategic execution were evident in their dominant performance, further solidifying their position as top contenders in the league with a perfect record of 11-0. Looking forward, Williamsburg High will face Felicity Franklin High School on April 17, 2025. The game will take place at Felicity Franklin High School, where the Wildcats will seek to extend their winning streak and continue their remarkable season.
