Baraboo dropped a 7-1 decision to La Crosse Central on Tuesday night at La Crosse, with the Thunderbirds breaking through in the second half on a goal from Nina Stout.

La Crosse Central controlled the final scoreline, but Baraboo found its moment after halftime when Nina Stout scored the Thunderbirds' lone goal. That finish provided the highlight for Baraboo in a difficult road match and kept the team pushing through the final stretch.

The Thunderbirds were tested throughout the night by a La Crosse Central attack that produced seven goals. Even with the deficit, Baraboo continued to compete and managed to create the second-half chance that led to Nina Stout's goal.

Co-Head Coach, Ben Oestreich
"It was another game where we created several quality looks at potential goals and had the ball bounce the other way. We displayed great teamwork to finally breakthrough with Nina's goal."

The match turned on La Crosse Central's ability to build separation while Baraboo searched for sustained possession and opportunities in the attacking third. The Thunderbirds' best breakthrough came after the break, when Nina Stout converted to account for the team's only goal.

Baraboo finished the night with a result that did not reflect the effort needed to battle through a full 80 minutes on the road. The Thunderbirds will look to build on the second-half response and carry that energy into their next match.
