Baraboo High School Thunderbirds Dominate in Swimming & Diving Dual Against Mount Horeb Vikings
In an impressive display, Baraboo High School's Varsity Boys Swimming & Diving team secured a commanding victory over the Mount Horeb Vikings on Tuesday at the Baraboo Indoor Pool. The Thunderbirds outperformed their opponent with a staggering score of 104-15. Jacob Balfanz led the charge for Baraboo, clinching a win in the 200-Yard Freestyle Relay. Will Olson showcased his speed in the pool, taking first place in both the 50-Yard and 100-Yard Freestyle events, affirming his status as a standout swimmer. The 100-Yard Butterfly was a highlight of the meet, with Logan Bradley leading a sweep of the top three spots for the Thunderbirds, demonstrating the depth of talent within the team. Additionally, Baraboo displayed their prowess in relay events, winning the 200-Yard and 400-Yard Freestyle Relays, as well as the 200-Yard Medley. Sergey Kandrykinski also contributed a notable performance by winning the 100-Yard Breaststroke, adding to the team's impressive tally of victories. As the Thunderbirds celebrate their triumphant performance, they are already looking ahead to their next challenge. The team is set to compete in the Badger Small Conference Championships on Saturday, February 8, once again at the Baraboo Indoor Pool.
