Baraboo Thunderbirds Celebrate Victory Over Oregon Panthers in Varsity Volleyball
In a thrilling away match up on October 7, 2025, the Baraboo Thunderbirds varsity female volleyball team clinched a significant victory against the Oregon Panthers, with a final score of 3-1. The match showcased exceptional talent and strategy, contributing to the Thunderbirds' successful record this season. The game commenced with a tight first set, where Baraboo edged out Oregon 27-25, setting an intense tone for the contest. However, the Panthers responded in the second set, claiming it 25-21. Not deterred, the Thunderbirds demonstrated resilience and came back to win the third set 26-24, and the crucial fourth set 25-23, sealing their triumph. Key players for Baraboo included Sabrina Hartmann, who led with 18 kills, followed by Brinley Kaufman and Makennah Peterson with 11 and 10 kills respectively. Defensively, Makennah Peterson stood out with 5 blocks, supporting the team robustly. The assists were skillfully managed by Presley Zimmerman who contributed a remarkable 36 assists.
