Boys Soccer Secures Victory Over Reedsburg Beavers

The Baraboo Thunderbirds boys varsity soccer team achieved a notable victory against Reedsburg High School on September 4, 2025, at Reedsburg High School. Under cloudy skies, the Thunderbirds demonstrated exceptional skill and coordination, securing a decisive 5-0 win in this non-conference outing. The match began with Baraboo establishing a strong lead, showcasing a dominant first half with four goals against the Beavers. Finnley Schindler initiated the scoring spree, which was followed by two goals from Brayden Ferrera-Hunter and additional contributions by Calen Ruff and Henri Letendre, bringing the halftime score to 4-0 in favor of Baraboo. The team's aggressive offense was complemented by strategic assists from Finnley Schindler, Colton Klongland, and Isaiah Romano-Thompson, who collectively added four assists to the game's dynamics. Throughout the match, Baraboo maintained control of the ball, as emphasized by their coach's assertion that the team excelled in playing their game and controlling the match through superior possession. Jedric Zech contributed notably by controlling the midfield with a robust physical presence, which was pivotal in maintaining the team's dominance. Goalie Evan Eilertson played a crucial role, securing a shutout and further ensuring the Thunderbirds' defensive stronghold. The game concluded with a final goal in the second half, cementing a total score of 5-0. Looking forward, the Baraboo Thunderbirds are scheduled to host McFarland High School on September 6, 2025, at Baraboo High School. The team's current record stands at 2-1, reflecting a strong start to the season.
