Tyler Vorndran | Baraboo | Aug 27, 2025

On August 26, 2025, the Baraboo Thunderbirds varsity boys soccer team faced a challenging outset to their season during a non-conference event against Sun Prairie West High School Wolves. The match, taking place under sunny skies at the opponent's field, saw the Thunderbirds struggle to counter the Wolves' aggressive offensive play. By halftime, Sun Prairie West had secured a 4-0 lead. Despite efforts from Baraboo's goalie, Evan Eilertson, to mitigate the advances, the Thunderbirds were unable to penetrate the Wolves' defense. The second half mirrored the first, and the game concluded with a final score of 7-0, marking a victory for Sun Prairie West. Looking ahead, the Baraboo Thunderbirds will aim for a comeback in their next game scheduled for September 2, 2025, against Milton at Milton High School. As they prepare, the team's record now stands at 0-1. Improvement and adjustment in their strategies will be crucial as they progress through the season.
