Girls Wrestling Showcases Strength at Duals in the Dells
The Baraboo Thunderbirds varsity girls wrestling team competed in the challenging 'Duals in the Dells' tournament at Wisconsin Dells on December 12, 2025. The event featured intense matches against 45 statewide teams, showcasing a high level of competition. Jaiden Walters and A'JaVonia Brooks-Lee were standout performers for the Thunderbirds. Walters secured a 9th place in a 16-person bracket, while Brooks-Lee earned a 14th place finish, both contributing significantly to their team's efforts during the tournament. Coach Michelle Strong praised the team's spirit, noting, 'The team culture was amazing throughout the tournament, even while facing tough opponents.' This sentiment highlights the Thunderbirds' resilience and camaraderie amid a competitive environment. Looking ahead, the Baraboo Thunderbirds are set to face the Eagles at Sauk Prairie on December 19, 2025, continuing their season with high expectations.
