Varsity Gymnastics Starts Competition Season against Waunakee

The Baraboo Thunderbirds High School gymnastics team began their season with a challenging Conference Dual meet against the Waunakee Co-Op at Baraboo High School. Despite spirited performances, the Thunderbirds finished in 2nd place with a team score of 127.425, while Waunakee Co-Op emerged victorious. Key standout performances marked the event, with Zeva Valley leading the Baraboo squad by scoring a notable 9.25 on the beam and an 8.925 on the floor. Julia Laux contributed with an 8.55 vault score, and Hadley Porter added an 8.575 on the floor, highlighting the team's strengths in their first meet of the season. The Thunderbirds are already looking ahead to their next competition, the Oconomowoc Invite, set to take place on December 13, 2025, at Oconomowoc High School. As they move forward, the team aims to build on their experiences and improve their standing, currently holding a record of 0-1 for the season.
