Zeva Valley Secures First Place Finish on Vault in Oconomowoc
The Baraboo Thunderbirds Gymnastics team recently competed in the Oconomowoc Invite held at Oconomowoc High School, facing strong competition from clubs like Franklin/Muskego, Homestead, Brookfield East/Central, Waupun, and Oconomowoc. The Thunderbirds finished with a team score of 122.625 in the Gold Division, securing a 5th place finish among the competing teams. Highlighting the Baraboo Thunderbirds' performances were Zeva Valley's outstanding achievements on the vault and floor exercises. Valley secured a 1st place finish on the Vault with a score of 8.60 and a 6th place on the Floor with a score of 8.8. Additionally, Taytum Poker and Hadley Porter contributed to the team's score with Poker scoring an 8.125 and Porter an 8.200 on Floor Exercise, demonstrating the depth of talent within the team. Franklin/Muskego emerged as the winners of the event with a top score of 136.475. Looking ahead, the Baraboo Thunderbirds are set to host their next event, a Conference Dual, at Baraboo High School on December 16, 2025 against the Mount Horeb Vikings
