BEREA, Ohio - Berea-Midpark High School scored twice in the opening 10 minutes and went on to defeat Elyria 6-1 in a conference soccer match Wednesday night. Jack Krzys finished with four goals as the Titans built a 3-0 halftime lead and added three more goals after the break.
The fast start gave the Titans an early two-goal cushion, and their third goal extended the advantage before halftime. Berea-Midpark also kept Elyria scoreless through the opening half, pairing its early attacking success with a defensive effort that preserved the 3-0 margin heading into the break.
Krzys supplied four of the Titans' six goals to lead all scoring. Finn Leary contributed a goal and three assists, Joven Weaver also scored, and Jake Sowul assisted on 3 goals to round out the productive offensive effort. The Titans finish conference play next Wednesday at home against Avon Lake.
