Watkins broke a halftime tie with an immediate header following a rain delay of more than an hour, sending the Berea-Midpark Titans to a 5-2 home victory over Westlake on Saturday, Aug. 22. The go-ahead goal launched a three-goal second half and completed an impressive response after the teams entered halftime tied at 2.

The first Berea-Midpark goal came from T. Watkins, with Chrysantus providing the assist. Arnold added an unassisted finish for the Titans’ second goal of the opening half. Westlake answered with two goals of its own, leaving the match level at 2-2 and setting up a decisive second half.

The teams returned to the field after halftime, but rain halted play for more than an hour. When action resumed, the Titans wasted no time reclaiming the momentum. Harold delivered the assist to T. Watkins, whose header put Berea-Midpark ahead 3-2 and proved to be the match-winning goal.

Berea-Midpark continued to press while keeping Westlake off the scoreboard throughout the second half. Chrysanthus scored an unassisted goal to extend the advantage before Harold connected with T.
