The Berea-Midpark Titans placed all four counting scores at 43 or better Monday, defeating Normandy 163-176 in a varsity boys golf match at Ridgewood GC. The balanced performance gave the Titans a 13-stroke victory over the Invaders, with Thomas Harrington setting the pace through the lowest round in Berea-Midpark's lineup.
Thomas Harrington led the Titans with a 38, finishing three strokes ahead of the team's next two scorers. Luke Silva and Gavin Wagner each recorded a 41, giving Berea-Midpark three counting rounds within three shots of one another. That consistency provided the foundation for the Titans' winning team total.
Oliver Marcelo completed the scoring with a 43. The four rounds of 38, 41, 41 and 43 combined exactly for Berea Midpark's total of 163. With no counting score higher than 43, Berea-Midpark created enough separation across the card to finish comfortably ahead of Normandy's 176.
The match developed into an epic clash between the Titans and Invaders, the kind of contest of which William the Conqueror and Cronus would have been proud. Berea-Midpark's depth proved decisive, as the Titans paired Thomas Harrington's team-leading effort with three additional rounds clustered closely behind it to secure the win.
The Titans will next travel to compete in the Midview Invitational on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026, at 1 p.m. EDT. The event will be held at Columbia Hills Golf Club.
