Titans Celebrate Homecoming With 43-13 Win Over North Ridgeville
BEREA, Ohio - Nick Reece’s 95-yard return on the opening kickoff provided an early spark as Berea-Midpark High School defeated North Ridgeville 43-13 on Friday, October 2. The Titans paired that tone-setting special teams play with three touchdown passes from Dylan Papushak to earn a conference victory on a night that combined homecoming festivities with recognition for local youth football and cheer.
Papushak’s three scoring throws highlighted the passing attack, while Xaviere Harden delivered three touchdowns of his own. Their contributions helped the Titans produce 43 points and finish with a 30-point winning margin over the Rangers. Reece’s opening return added a standout special teams contribution to a game featuring several strong individual performances.
Darius Collins supplied a key interception on defense, giving Berea-Midpark another impact play beyond its offensive production. He also earned Browns MVP recognition as the matchup served as the Browns Game of the Week. The Titans limited North Ridgeville to 13 points, complementing an offense that found the end zone repeatedly.
Coach Hunek received Coach of the Week honors, adding another distinction to the homecoming celebration. Youth night also featured Groza cheer and football, bringing the younger programs into an evening that showcased the varsity team’s accomplishments. The combination of a conference win, individual recognition and youth participation gave the Titans plenty to celebrate.
Berea-Midpark’s next matchup takes the team on the road to Olmsted Falls for a 7 p.m. kickoff. The Titans will look to win the Battle of Bagley on Friday, October 9, against Olmsted Falls.
