BEREA, Ohio - Berea-Midpark delivered a Senior Night performance worth celebrating Wednesday, shutting out Olmsted Falls 2-0 behind goals in each half and a clean sheet from Chrysanthus. Donegan scored the decisive opening goal off an assist from Arnold, giving the Titans the advantage they needed in their 11th match of the season.
The breakthrough came during the first half as Arnold helped create the opportunity and connected with Donegan for the finish. That combination sent Berea-Midpark into halftime with a 1-0 lead and gave the home crowd an early reason to cheer on a night devoted to recognizing the program's seniors.
Berea-Midpark added an important insurance goal after halftime. Shiever found the net with an unassisted effort, doubling the margin and putting the Titans in a stronger position to close out the victory. Braaten's work throughout the match earned Fruit Stand Woman of the Match honors, adding another individual highlight to a balanced team performance.
At the other end, Chrysanthus and the Titans' defense preserved the shutout against Olmsted Falls. The clean sheet completed a strong all-around showing, with Berea-Midpark producing timely scoring in both halves while preventing the Bulldogs from getting on the scoreboard.
The victory moved Berea-Midpark to 7-3-1 overall and 4-1 in conference play. More than another mark in the win column, the 2-0 result gave the Titans a fitting Senior Night celebration and valuable momentum as the conference schedule continues.
