The Berea-Midpark Titans posted a 328 to finish ninth among 16 teams Wednesday at the Midview Invitational, led by Oliver Marcelo's round of 77 at Columbia Hills Golf Club. Oliver Marcelo placed ninth in a field of 95 golfers, giving the Titans a top-10 individual finish to anchor their team total.
Thomas Harrington added an 81 for the Titans and finished 25th overall. The four-stroke gap between the Titans' top two finishers helped Berea-Midpark remain in the upper portion of a large tournament field. The Titans continued to compete throughout the round, securing ninth place against a 16-team lineup.
At the top of the team standings, Olmsted Falls won the tournament with a score of 304. Avon followed with a 312, eight strokes behind the winning total. Berea-Midpark's 328 left the Titans 16 strokes behind Avon and 24 behind the tournament champion.
The tournament was played in partly cloudy conditions with the temperature at 89 degrees and winds at 6 mph. Despite the late-summer heat, Oliver Marcelo stayed near the front of the individual standings, finishing ahead of 86 golfers. Thomas Harrington’s top-25 result gave the Titans a second strong score in the 95-player field.
Berea-Midpark now turns to a quick turnaround. The Titans celebrate Senior Night on 9/14/2026 and host Avon Lake at Big Met Golf Course at 4:00pm.
