CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio - Berea-Midpark earned a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Walsh Jesuit on Wednesday night, prevailing 25-23, 25-20, 21-25, 25-17. The Titans combined an intelligent offense with steady serve receive, disruptive blocking and a strong finish to secure the road win in four sets.
The opening set tested Berea-Midpark from the start. Multiple lead changes kept the score tight, and neither team was able to create much separation. With the set hanging in the balance, the Titans delivered the points they needed to claim a 25-23 victory. Their composure during that back-and-forth stretch established the tone for a match that demanded patience and execution.
Setter Brooklyn Kovatch directed a smart, high-IQ offense that helped Berea-Midpark find favorable attacking opportunities. The Titans built on their opening-set win with a more controlled performance in the second, siding out consistently and turning quality passes into productive swings. Berea-Midpark's team-wide passing and strong side-out percentage then allowed Kovatch to keep the offense moving. With every phase working together, the Titans controlled the set 25-17 and closed the night with their most decisive margin.
