Big Win: Ventures Win Homecoming Game 37-12
MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. - Trenton Kanar scored three touchdowns to lead Bishop Foley Catholic High School to a 37-12 victory over Mount Clemens in its homecoming football game Friday, October 2. The Ventures paired Kanar’s scoring performance with a strong defensive effort in front of a packed student section.
Kanar, a junior wearing No. 8, supplied three of Bishop Foley’s five touchdowns. His production led a scoring effort that also included touchdowns from two seniors, giving the Ventures contributions from both classes as they finished with a 25-point margin over the Bathers.
Connor Kokenos, a senior captain wearing No. 7, scored one touchdown, and Lukas Straske, a senior wearing No. 1, added another. Alongside Kanar’s three scores, those touchdowns accounted for all five of the Ventures’ trips to the end zone. Kokenos and Straske each contributed to a homecoming victory in their senior season.
The homecoming setting gave Bishop Foley’s performance an energetic backdrop, with the packed student section contributing to the atmosphere throughout the evening. Conditions were mainly clear, with a game-time temperature of 63 degrees for the 7 p.m. kickoff. While three players handled the touchdown scoring, the defense provided an equally important part of the result, limiting Mount Clemens to 12 points.
