Mystics pile up event wins at Frontier Conference Championship

DICKINSON, N.D. - Bismarck State College delivered another strong championship performance May 2-3 at the Frontier Conference Championship, piling up individual titles and relay wins as the Mystics continued a season defined by depth and sprint firepower. Following a winter indoor campaign that featured conference titles, national-level marks and major postseason honors, BSC again leaned on its top performers outdoors in Dickinson.

The headline efforts came from Priviledge Bower and Cayden Kraft. Bower won the women’s 100 meters in 11.58 and returned to claim the 200 title in 24.47, while Kraft swept the men’s 200 and 400, posting winning times of 21.44 and 48.01. Jakson Ensign added another title on the track with a victory in the men’s 1500 in 4:00.77, giving the Mystics championship wins across the sprints and middle distances.

Bismarck State also made its mark in the field events. Alexia Anderson won the women’s long jump at 5.77 meters and added a listed 11.84-meter performance in the triple jump, where Kennedy Harter led the way with a winning mark of 12.18 meters. Harter also posted 5.71 meters in the long jump, underscoring the versatility that has helped the Mystics score in multiple areas throughout the season.

The relay groups closed out key portions of the meet in familiar fashion. The Mystics won the women’s 4x100 in 47.35, the men’s 4x400 in 3:18.50 and the women’s 4x400 in 3:56.62. BSC’s men also captured the 4x800 relay in 7:48.84, a mark noted as New ’26 NAIA #34. The winning men’s 4x400 lineup included D. Oduse, N. Mathern, T. Walters and Kraft, while Ensign was part of the victorious 4x800 group.

Those outdoor results followed an indoor conference season in which the Mystics showed the same event-by-event range. The author-supplied meet notes point to conference championships in the 60, 200, 400 and 600, strong mile and 800 performances, podium finishes in the jumps and pole vault, and relay titles in both the men’s and women’s 4x400 along with the men’s 4x800. That indoor meet also featured personal records and NAIA-ranked marks across the roster, including Kraft’s conference-winning efforts and the continued emergence of BSC’s sprint and middle-distance groups.

Daniel Oduse also turned in a notable men’s 100-meter final time of 10.20 in the outdoor results, adding to the Mystics’ sprint success at the championship meet. Taken together, the latest wins in Dickinson reflected the same pattern Bismarck State has established all year, multiple event champions, productive relays and athletes capable of scoring in more than one discipline, a formula that kept the Mystics in the thick of the Frontier Conference race and added another chapter to a successful season.
