Barracudas Host Pentathlon With Lakeshore

The Barracudas hosted Lakeshore for a pentathlon event held at the Butler Aquatic Center at Hathaway Brown on October 5, 2025. Both teams had a series of impressive individual performances. Top performers from the Barracudas included Sofia Jimenez, who excelled notably in the 50 Yard Butterfly, clocking in at 25.77 seconds, securing a commanding victory in this category. Alongside her, London Miozzi and Angelene Zheng put up strong times in the same event. In the 100 Yard Butterfly, Derek Fan led the pack with a time of 49.60 seconds, close to the Winter Junior National cut. Additionally, Thesath Wickramasinghe and Sofia Jimenez, demonstrated exceptional endurance and technique in the 100 Butterfly. The event also highlighted the team's strength in the 200 IM, with Isaac Fowler and Thesath Wickramasinghe delivering noteworthy performances that underlined the team's depth and training quality. In speed events, Gary Yan and Chris Jun made their marks in the 50 Yard Breaststroke and Mixed 50 Yard Freestyle, respectively. Looking ahead, the Barracudas are set to compete and host the Stevie Greishammer Memorial Meet on October 19, 2025, at the Busbey Natatorium at Cleveland State University. The team hopes to carry forward their momentum and continue their streak of strong performances.
