Brush Girls Soccer Suffers 3-1 Defeat to Massillon Washington
The Lady Arcs soccer team couldn't get it going offensively, eventually leading to a 3-1 loss at the hands of Massillon Washington Saturday morning. The game's momentum was set early on by Massillon Washington, who took a lead with goals from Lucia Herrera and Karlie Constable in the first half at the 29:11 and 21:50 marks respectively. Brush's Brianna Reed provided a glimmer of hope with a striking goal from 25 yards out, 24:00 into the first half, making the halftime score Massillon Washington 2, Brush 1. In the second half, the Arcs pushed to level the scoring but were met with solid defense from the Tigers. Massillon Washington sealed their victory with a final goal from Kynslie Williams. The match ended with a final score favoring Massillon Washington at 3-1. Looking forward, the Brush High School Arcs will meet the Euclid Panthers on Monday in an attempt to regain their form and clinch a victory.
