Lady Arcs Roll in Season Opener Against Whetstone, 85-11

The Lady Arcs of Brush opened their 2025-2026 season with a commanding 85-11 victory over the Whetstone Braves on Saturday at Cleveland Heights High School as part of the Great Lakes Classic. From the outset, the Lady Arcs dominated the court on both ends with a dominant defense leading to many easy baskets on the offensive end. Brush cruised to a 33-4 first quarter lead, putting the game away early. Tatiana Mason was the game's top scorer, impressively securing 33 points on 14-of-22 shooting. Additionally, she led in rebounds with eight and steals with 10, marking her as the game's most versatile player. Nylah Mason also performed exceptionally, contributing 22 points, including four three-pointers and leading with eight assists, while Juliana Ferreria added 10 points to the team's tally. The halftime score reflected the Arcs' overwhelming advantage, standing at 55-7. Defensively, the Arcs were just as formidable. Alongside Tatiana’s 10 steals, Nylah Mason and Addisyn Harris contributed significantly with 6 and 5 steals, respectively. Brush held Whetstone to just four made baskets and 15% shooting from the field. The Lady Arcs will travel to Canton McKinley on Monday to take on the Bulldogs whom they defeated 67-34 last season
