Gahanna Lincoln boys bowling delivered another statement performance on Wednesday night, rolling past Grove City 2,464–2,267 at Stardust Lanes to stay unbeaten in conference play and lock up the top spot in the OCC Ohio Division.

The Lions set the tone with a powerful team total of 2,464, outpacing Grove City by nearly 200 pins in a match that showcased both star power and depth. Junior Caleb Petit and sophomore Kris Briscoe provided the headline numbers, while steady contributions from the rest of the lineup ensured Gahanna Lincoln controlled the match from start to finish.

Petit turned in one of the most consistent efforts of the night, firing games of 235 and 237 for an impressive 472 two-game series. His ability to string together marks and stay locked in frame after frame helped anchor the Lions’ scoring and provided a reliable foundation in both team games.

Briscoe matched that impact with a big 460 series, highlighted by a standout 268 in his first game followed by a 192 in his second. That opening surge created early separation on the scoreboard and put Grove City under pressure to chase pins the rest of the way. Briscoe’s high-ceiling performance gave the Lions the spark they needed in a pivotal road match.

It's amazing how these young men pick each other up, when things get hard! Today was rough for a couple reasons, but as a team they performed well and got the win which is what they set out to do. We are very proud coaches!

Veteran leadership also showed up in key moments. Senior Will Gray added a high game of 202, providing timely strikes when the Lions needed to keep their momentum, while junior Mitchell Genson chipped in a strong 218. Those contributions underscored Gahanna Lincoln’s calling card this season: a full-team effort in which multiple bowlers are capable of stepping up when it matters most.

The 197-pin victory not only highlighted the Lions’ talent but also carried major implications in the standings. The win secured Gahanna Lincoln’s top ranking in the OCC Ohio Division, moving the Lions to 5–0 in OCC play and 9–0 in COHSBC Division A. With every match, the team has reinforced its status as a league power built on consistency, depth and composure in competitive environments.

Gahanna Lincoln now turns its attention to its final regular-season test, a home matchup against Lancaster at HP Lanes on Friday. With conference positioning secured but momentum still very much in focus, the Lions will look to close out the regular season the same way they’ve bowled all year—together, confident and chasing even higher scores as postseason play approaches.
