Gahanna Lincoln Boys Bowling Rolls Past New Albany at Gahanna Lanes

Gahanna Lincoln’s boys varsity bowling team turned in a dominant performance Friday night at Gahanna Lanes, defeating New Albany 2,364-1,558 in a conference matchup highlighted by lineup flexibility and strong individual series.

The Lions controlled the match from the outset, using a retooled starting lineup that gave additional varsity reps to Andy Oswald, Philip Boswell and Jon Walther. The depth move paid off as Gahanna Lincoln built a large cushion through the individual games.

Boswell led the way for the Lions with the top series of the night, rolling games of 210 and 214 for a 424 series. Will Gray added another standout effort, posting games of 227 and 179 for a 406 series, giving Gahanna Lincoln a powerful one-two scoring punch at the top of the order.

Beyond the headline series, the Lions received steady production up and down the roster, a key factor in building the 806-pin margin of victory. With Oswald and Walther joining the starting group, Gahanna Lincoln was able to showcase its roster depth.

The Lions recorded a high Baker game of 214, sustaining the momentum established in traditional games and closing out any remaining doubt about the final outcome. The strong Baker performance underscored the group’s ability to execute in the shared-frame format and convert key spares late.
