Gahanna Lincoln High School Lions Triumph at Buckeye High School Classic

The Gahanna Lincoln High School Lions varsity boys bowling team won 1st place at the Buckeye High School Classic held on January 3, 2026, at HP Lanes. The challenging day concluded with the Lions triumphing over various opponents, topping the tournament in an impressive fashion. The Championship Baker round was particularly pivotal. The Lions clashed with Marysville in a best-of-five series. Despite losing the initial game, the Lions rallied to secure three consecutive wins, clinching the championship. This victory capped off a long and challenging day on a difficult bowling pattern. Bowling a total of 15 regular games and 13 bakers. Two standout performers for the Lions were Kael Clous and Kris Briscoe. Clous earned 4th place in the all-tournament team, while Briscoe followed closely in 5th place, highlighting their critical roles in the team's success. Coach remarks reflected a sense of pride in the team's resilience, "A very long day on a challenging pattern. The boys stayed strong and fought hard to come away with the Championship, and we are very proud of them." Building on their undefeated streak, the Lions' record remains robust at 5-0 in the Central Ohio High School Bowling Conference (COHSBC) and 2-0 in the Ohio Capital Conference (OCC). They are set to compete next on January 8, 2026, at the same venue, HP Lanes, aiming to continue their winning ways in the current season.
