Flying Like Falcons - A soaring start to the volleyball season
CLEVELAND, Ohio - Garrett Morgan’s Falcons Girls Volleyball team swept John Adams 3-0 on Monday, Aug. 31, using aggressive serving, steady front-row play and consistent teamwork to secure the home victory. The Falcons set the tone immediately and maintained their approach throughout all three sets.
No. 11 "Gigi" opened the match with back-to-back aces, giving Garrett Morgan an early advantage and immediate momentum. The consecutive aces established the Falcons’ serving pressure and allowed the team to settle into its rotations while putting John Adams on the defensive.
No. 2 Jeyliz added several strong serves as the match progressed, helping Garrett Morgan continue to control points from behind the service line. At the net, No. 4 Kassidi contributed timely blocks and forceful spikes from the front row. Her presence gave the Falcons another option in their attack while strengthening the team’s defense against John Adams.
