The Wayzata High School Trojans will face the Edina Hornets on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026, at 4955 Peony Ln N in Plymouth for a Unity Seats Friday Night Lights experience.

  • The event begins at 5 p.m. CDT, with the Sheriff and guests scheduled to arrive at 6:20 p.m.
  • The coin toss is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., shortly after the Sheriff and guests arrive.
  • At 6:58 p.m., the Sheriff and guests will stand at midfield for a moment of silence before the national anthem and kickoff.
  • Unity Seats pairs law enforcement leaders with community members holding opposing viewpoints, seating them together as neighbors rather than adversaries.
  • Hennepin County Sheriff, US United and local families and football fans will attend in special Unity Seats.
  • The gathering will honor fallen heroes during the 25th anniversary year of the 9/11 attacks and reaffirm that we're the UNITED States of America.
  • Fans from different backgrounds and neighborhoods can build connections through football, mutual respect and conversations about what they share.
  • US United, a national nonprofit movement, gives people tools to build unity across America.

Beyond the final score, the evening will show how Friday night football, family and conversation can make unity stronger than division.
