The Nordonia High School girls varsity soccer team clinched a 3-1 victory in their season opener against the Uniontown Lake High School Blue Streaks on Tuesday. Nordonia's victory at the Boliantz Stadium in front of its home crowd was set amid a cloudy sky. The game showcased the Knights' early-season form, with an opening lead established in the first half by Addison Francis, who found the back of the net, putting Nordonia 1-0 ahead at halftime. Riley Query and Noelle Dubnicka added to the Knights' tally with a goal each in the second half, while the team's defense stifled opportunities for Uniontown Lake, limiting them to just one goal.
