Nordonia High School Knights Triumph in OHSAA District Semi-Final
In an impressive display of skill and teamwork, the Nordonia High School Knights Girls Varsity Volleyball team secured a resounding victory against the Shaker Heights High School Raiders in the OHSAA District Semi-Final Tournament on October 20, 2025. The match was hosted at Nordonia High School, where the Knights showcased their dominance on the court, winning in straight sets with scores of 25-12, 25-5, and 25-8. The Knights were led by standout performances from Rylee Kinnell, who notched 13 kills, and Addison Lefeld, contributing significantly with 5 kills, 8 digs, and 4 aces. Madison Dupont also played a pivotal role with 5 kills and 4 aces. Avrey Palinkas facilitated the team's offense with 17 assists, demonstrating her pivotal role in setting up plays. The defensive efforts were bolstered by Tatum Hameed, who recorded 8 digs and added 4 aces to the team's tally. Highlighting the exceptional performances of the season, Madison Dupont's tally of 77 aces ranks her among the top five players in Ohio Division II. This achievement underscores her crucial role in Nordonia's successful season so far, which now stands at a promising record of 17-6. Looking ahead, the Knights are set to face North Canton Hoover High School in the District Championship Game scheduled for October 22, 2025, at Tallmadge High School.
