Nordonia Knights Triumph in Suburban League Clash Against the Bulldogs

The Nordonia Knights faced off against the Stow-Munroe Falls Bulldogs in a decisive football game on October 24, 2025, at Nordonia's Boliantz Stadium. The final Suburban League contest of the year, unfolded under chilly, damp conditions, which required resolute teamwork from the Knights. The first half saw Nordonia establishing a commanding lead with a score of 27-7. Notable was the second quarter, where the Knights strategically amassed 20 points, effectively distancing themselves from the Bulldogs. This period included touchdown catches by Collin Atha, Karsen Fisher, and Dominick Jackson that demonstrated speed, coordination and athletic prowess. On the defensive side of the ball, Trent Foster led with impressive statistics, accumulating seven tackles, including five solo and two assisted. Adding to the defensive stronghold, Jamiere Davis intercepted two passes, crucially mitigating the Bulldogs' attempts to recover from the deficit. Quarterback Steven Fakult finished the night with 289 passing yards on 30 attempts and the three above mentioned touchdown passes. While senior place kicker, Riley Edgehouse added a pair of 32 yard field goals to complete the scoring for the Knights. These efforts culminated in a final score of 34-14, in favor of Nordonia, much to the credit of a focused offensive and defensive strategy. Coach Jeff Fox, commenting on the team's performance and the implications for the season, acknowledged the players’ hard work and unity, which was instrumental in earning an OHSAA playoff berth. Looking ahead, the Knights are set to host the first round playoff game at Nordonia High School on October 31, 2025, against an opponent yet to be determined, as they advance with a strong record of 7 wins and 3 losses.
